Leading a team of 4 – 5 account managers

To work with the sales and marketing team in this PAYMENTS SOLUTIONS organisation to implement the sales strategy to meet the strategic goals and objectives of the organisation.





Provide input to the sales strategy

Provide input to the sales plans

Sales Management: Key Accounts

Assume accountability for the profitability of allocated accounts

Develop and maintain account plans for allocated accounts

Execute account plans in conjunction with Product and Operations management

Develop and maintain relationships with key account representatives across seniority tiers

Sales Management: New Business

Identify and develop new business and sales according to sales plan

Manage and drive new sales opportunities through the sales process

Business Development

Provide customer and market information to the product and marketing teams

Maintain market, technology and customer knowledge

Participate in marketing activities such as conferences and exhibitions

Meet agreed KPI’s across sales figures, customer relationships, new customers and new markets/partnership development

Resource Management: Systems

Provide input into sales tools, systems and processes



Strong business understanding

Ability to communicate with senior business executives

Able to operate independently

Strong client relationship management skills and persuasiveness

Ability to develop and compile presentations and tender proposals

Strategic and conceptual thinker to conceptualize innovative and creative solutions



A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a sales executive in a bank, financial services or payments industry
