Market Related Salary
To work with the sales and marketing team to implement the sales strategy to meet the strategic goals and objectives of the organisation.
Define market needs .
Formulate new product ideas and research product feasibility within the market.
Research and Analysis (Product, Market, Competitor etc.)
Provide in-depth market, industry, competitive analysis and positioning and identify new opportunities.
Take new products to market.
Develop strategies and tactics to meet market and customer needs.
Develop, implement and report on roadmaps and product plans. Product Feature Definition Develop high level product features.
Ensure products are developed according to spec and on time and in budget.
Product development-vendor management
Select, contract with and manage development vendors, incl. in-house dev shop.
Lead cross functional teams.
Ensure product success and profitability.
Collect and analyse feedback from customers, internal stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements,
features and end products.
Business Case Writing
Write and present business and financial cases for new products and product enhancements.
Develop pricing framework by product.
Interact with customers.
Represent the customer’s views and understand the problems they need solved.
Work with the marketing team to establish a well-planned marketing strategy for the product.
Work with the sales team to establish a well-planned sales strategy.
Vendor and partner interaction
Manage contractual conversations with personnel responsible for contracts.
Establish operational processes to be implemented (On boarding, Support, etc.)
Partake in pre-sales solutioning with potential customers.
Publish thought leadership papers.
Strong business understanding, orientation and passion
Strong ability to drive deal development and design, both financially as well as crafting bespoke solutions from technology and product components
Ability to communicate with senior business executives
Strong technical understanding
Ability to operate independently
Strategic and conceptual thinker to conceptualize innovative and creative solutions
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a product development, management or related role in a bank, financial services or payments organisation
A degree or equivalent qualification
